We’re open!

To limit contact as much as possible, we have implemented a new booking software called Aura. In Aura, you are able to securely create an account and add a card to your profile so that you can check-in for your appointments, buy gift cards, and check out for your appointments all from your own mobile device. Follow the links to get started! 

As we are now open with limited people in the salon at one time, we are not able to process any walk-in product sales. Instead, we are implementing curbside pickup. To order products to be picked up at the salon, send an email to booking@thorps.org. Once your order has been placed, we will provide you with further instructions to make sure your order is processed in the safest manner possible. Our curbside pickup dates are Monday 10:00am-2:00pm and Thursday 2:00pm-6:00pm. 

Online booking has been deactivated temporarily, so the best way to book an appointment is to contact your stylist or barber directly through email. All email addresses are your stylist or barber’s first name @thorps.org. All employees can be found on our “Staff” tab.

THORPS was founded in 2008 in the Schenk’s Corners area of the Atwood neighborhood on Madison’s east side. We are conceived as a community-minded business, specializing in haircuts and color services for all genders.

Inspired by the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere of traditional neighborhood barber shops, our approach to customer service is direct, educational, and attentive but not overbearing.

Our team comes from a well-rounded history and our staff has a variety of specialties. While each of us has a unique approach, together we accommodate our customers’ needs for achieving both traditional and experimental hairstyles.

Shop Policies

We require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. To cancel or reschedule an appointment please call the shop (608) 467-2222 to speak with our front desk staff, or email us at booking@thorps.org. We understand that extenuating circumstances happen. In the event of a last-minute cancellation or a no-show, we have a three-strikes rule. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we will not be able to provide the scheduled service; we will need to reschedule your appointment and the appointment is considered a last-minute cancellation.
