THORPS was founded in 2008 in the Schenk’s Corners district of the Atwood/Winnebago neighborhood on Madison’s east side. We are conceived as a community-minded business, specializing in haircuts and color for both men and women.
Inspired by the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere of traditional neighborhood barbershops, we take a simple and direct approach to our services, while keeping our customer service attentive but not over-bearing.
Our team comes from a well-rounded history and we have a variety of specialties. While each of us has a unique approach to haircutting, together we can accommodate our customers’ needs, from traditional to experimental. Our approach to hair color is to keep the options simple and straightforward, creating looks from natural to bold.
